Traders and Cops

This picture of the Chicago Board of trade taken in 1900 sheds some light into the validity of
arguments made by politicians and economists that insist on comparing the current recession to the one that happened 80 years ago.

Chicago 100 years ago

1910 - Jackson Blvd and Dearborn

1890 - State Street

Chicago is unique as it is impressive. As most Batman fans know, it is also the premier shooting location for Gothan City. Considering the state of local politics, I wonder if we wouldn't be better off with Two-face, Mr. Freeze and The Joker.

I wish I had more than my trusty Canon Powershot to photograph this tribute to modern architecture. Maybe I will, let's how things develop.

Anyway, before I move on to current photos, I would like to share some from the past.
By the way, they are all public domain.
